Malaysia’s mean household income increased to RM8,479 in 2022, says Stats Dept
PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s mean household income rose from RM7,901 in 2019 to RM8,479 in 2022, says the Statistics Department of Malaysia.
In its report on the Household Income Survey and Household Expenditure Survey 2022, the department said this was an increase of 2.4%.
The report, which was released by the Chief Statistician’s Office on Friday (July 28), also said that the country’s median household income had increased by 2.5% per year to RM6,338 in 2022.
The report also highlighted that the country’s poverty line had increased to RM2,589 in 2022 compared with RM2,208 in 2019.
