No jogging order for Chow Yun Fat after fall

AWARD-WINNING Hong Kong actor Chow Yun Fat (pic) has to stop jogging for two months after suffering a fall, Sin Chew Daily reported.

Besides multiple cuts on his palms, the 68-year-old also had a fractured fourth rib on the left due to the impact of the fall.

He would be in pain whenever he laughed, coughed or even breathed a bit deeply.

An avid jogger and hiker, Chow said he had been advised by the doctor to take a break from jogging for now.

He said this during a sharing session with over 300 lecturers and students at the University of Hong Kong on Friday.

Quoting a line from the movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Chow said, “If you tighten your grip, there will be nothing inside. But if you release, then you will get everything.”

He also urged the participants not to be afraid of hardship and difficulties, adding that they should also cherish people around them.

Although injured, he still spent more than an hour talking about movies, life and taking questions from the floor.

He also took a wefie with the participants at the end of the session.

> China Press reported that a woman escaped with minor injuries after falling off a cliff in Zhengzhou, the capital of central China’s Henan province.

She was trapped between tree branches by the mountainside, some 50m from the top.

A rescue operation was launched to save the woman, who was said to be taking photographs shortly before the incident.

An operation member, known as Wang, said the woman only suffered light injuries.
