State polls: Barisan’s Jeram Padang candidate gets into accident, driver in critical condition
KUALA PILAH: Barisan Nasional’s Jeram Pasang candidate Datuk Mohd Zaidy Abdul Kadir has been involved in a traffic accident.
Umno secretary-general Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki, in a Facebook post, said the accident happened at around 3.25am along the Jalan Pasir Besar- Palong stretch.
“His driver is in critical condition. We pray that both of them will recover well,” he said in a Facebook post Monday.
Sources familiar with the matter said Zaidy was currently in stable condition with some swelling to the right knee.
It is learnt that the driver is currently at the Jempol Hospital.
Zaidy will be taking on Perikatan Nasional’s Suresh Sreenivasan in a straight fight for the Jeram Padang state seat in the Aug 12 state election.
