Mother and two teens found dead in Kg Baru Ampang, cops think suicide
KUALA LUMPUR: The death of three people in a closed apartment unit is believed to had been from suicide, police says.
Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan, in a statement Thursday (Sept 7), said that the police received a call regarding the deaths at 7.31am.
Investigations by a police team dispatched to the scene at Kg Baru Ampang showed that three bodies had been found; two females and a male aged 14, 15 and 42 years old.
It is believed that the bodies were of a mother and her children.
“Also found was a will and some money. Forensics police found that all doors and windows in the room had been closed shut using sellotape, which we believe was to keep air from leaving the room.
“A fire starter and charcoal was also found in a container below a sofa of the room. We believe that the case is a suicide and the time of death was more than 24 hours ago,” he said.
Investigations are ongoing to ascertain any foul play involved.
