Speculation about the health of the ‘90s actor has been off the charts recently.
Curious to find out what ‘90s Taiwanese actor Ma Jingtao has been up to recently? The 61-year-old has found himself at the forefront of netizen interest after speculation about his health has ramped up considerably over the past few months.
Jingtao, who is now based in China, recently made an appearance at an event, where it was swiftly pointed out that he appeared to have some sort of “facial droop”.
In the pictures, the actor appeared to be perpetually smirking, with one side of his face drooping.
Netizens commented that experiencing facial droop is one of the tell-tale signs of someone having suffered a stroke, as stroke patients commonly lose control over their facial muscles on one side.
Concerned netizens wrote that the actor should probably retire soon to take better care of himself, while others snarked that Jingtao has “aged considerably”.
Regardless of his appearance, the actor appeared to be as popular as ever, with the audience shrieking their heads off once he stepped up on stage.
A couple of netizens also wrote that the actor “can’t possibly retire” right now, as he still has to pay for the school fees of his two younger kids, who both attend international schools.
Jingtao was married twice. His first marriage was to Tang Yan, who’s not in showbiz. The couple has a 33-year-old daughter together, and divorced in 1993 after three years.
In 2007, Jingtao married Chinese actress Wu Jiani. They divorced in 2017, and have two sons together. Both sons are still in their teens.
