Cops tracking down trio linked to Save Malaysia rally
KUALA LUMPUR: The police are tracking down three individuals in connection with the investigation on the Save Malaysia rally.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Allaudeen Abdul Majid said the police will reveal the identities of the trio if they fail to come forward to have their statements recorded.
“We hope they will come forward as soon as possible.
“For now, we are still tracking them down,” he told reporters after the KL police monthly assembly on Wednesday (Sept 20).
Comm Allaudeen said the police have identified 28 individuals that could assist the investigation on Saturday’s rally in accordance with the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012.
“We have already recorded the statements of 16 individuals and we hope to complete the investigation within this week.
“The investigation paper will be referred to the Deputy Public Prosecutor for further action once the investigation is completed,” he said.
