Since being accused of sexual assault by several women amidst Taiwan’s #MeToo movement earlier this year, Taiwanese comedian, Nono, 52, has been struggling to keep his head above water.
According to the first whistleblower, social media influencer Anissa (小红老师), one of Nono’s victims experienced “immense pain” in her privates after being sexually assaulted by him. In response, Nono only cared to ask: “Is it big?”
The Taipei District Prosecutor’s Office have spent the past two months conducting a closed-door investigation, and had reached out to Nono’s alleged victims for statements regarding his crime.
Yesterday (Oct 18), Nono was called back to court. A 90 min-long hearing was held to verify the authenticity of the victims’ accusations.
Following that, Nono was accompanied by his lawyer to a private room to undergo a forensic examination.
The body part they were checking on? His genitals.
And why?
According to reports, Nono’s genitals were described in detail numerous times by his purported victims.
Nono was in the examination room for all of 10 minutes. He then left without answering any questions from the media.
Reports have claimed that the comedian contacted women of different ages and different professions over the past 20 years via Facebook, WeChat, and Instagram. He was accused by some 25 women of sexual assault and nonconsensual indecent acts.
