Preserve Malaysia’s unique racial unity, says businesswoman
MELAKA: Malaysia’s unique racial unity must be preserved, says Iranian businesswoman Datin Mary Rasouli.
Speaking after buying clothing and delicacies for a corporate social responsibility (CSR)programme set for the upcoming Deepavali celebration, Rasouli said that she can see the strong bonds between Malaysians after living in the country for almost 20 years
“Please don’t let external issues cause racial disharmony in this country. There will be only chaos once you all lose your racial unity,” she said when met at Jalan Bendahara here on Monday night (Nov 6).
On her CSR programme, Rasouli said that she decided to organise it during Deepavali due to the harmonious landscape of this country.
Rasouli said she is married to a local and added that she has come to understand that racial unity is something priceless in this country.
She added that she has also seen Malaysians staying united, helping each other and working closely together regardless of their race, religion and background since living here.
“All this is because of their love for this peaceful and harmonious country. Malaysians should be wary of anyone with an ill intention of causing racial disharmony,” she said.
Rasouli said her intention in organising the CSR programme is to spread love, care and a spirit of oneness.
“We had a health camp at Ayer Keroh on Monday and decided to embark on this CSR programme to reach out to the community as well as sharing the joy of Festival of Lights with the needy,” she said.
Rasouli said she also wanted her team to also comprehend the importance of helping the needy and enlivening the spirit of harmonious living among Malaysians while spreading the message of joy, peace, happiness and togetherness to all.
