Vivian Chow Asks Fans To Stop Mailing Her Letters For Now ‘Cos She Can’t Keep Up With The Replies
Yes, she personally replies to each one of them… via snail mail.
The internet and social media have no doubt enabled fans to be closer to their idols.
Not only are they be able to keep up-to-date with celebs, but also interact with them.
However, it seems like Hong Kong actress-singer Vivian Chow and her fans still prefer to communicate the old-school way: via snail mail.
In May this year, the 55-year-old posted a photo of herself with a pile of letters from fans.
In her Weibo post, she thanked fans for their support and promised to read and respond to each letter.
“Not only will this bring happiness to friends who support me, it is also my motivation for replying,” she wrote.
She also announced that she would stop receiving letters for the time being.
However, the letters just kept coming.
Last week, Vivian shared photos of some of her fan mail as well as an update on her progress.
And looks like she’s been struggling to keep up with the incoming mail.
“Hi everyone, previously I spent quite a bit of time and only replied to half of the letters. I am still working on the other half and will slowly respond to each one of them. Please help by not sending letters for now,” she said, adding that she will update everyone when she is ready to receive mail again.
Fans were super touched by her sweet gesture and praised her for cherishing her fans.
“Thank you for your hard work, V. I can’t believe I have received replies so many times! No matter how down I am feeling in life, I will immediately cheer up. This kind of impact is really life-changing!” wrote one fan.
