Malaysian singer Yuki Koh, 26, was stabbed to death by a 44 -year-old man, who is believed to be her admirer.
According to reports, Yuki had suffered eight stab wounds, including a fatal blow to her heart.
She leaves behind her three-year-old daughter from a previous marriage.
The incident reportedly took place in a back alley in Klang at about 2pm on Dec 18 after the pair met at a nearby restaurant for lunch.
When they arrived at Yuki’s car, the man stabbed her with a knife. He then moved her to the passenger seat and drove the car to his home.
Witnesses who saw the stabbing quickly called the police and filmed the crime.
The suspect was arrested three hours later at his home.
According to police, the suspect tried to stab himself when they caught him. Yuki’s body was also still in the car.
Yuki’s boyfriend, Sampson Liew, 23, told the media that the suspect had been wooing her for two years.
She was initially hesitant to meet him but agreed out of kindness.
Sampson said Yuki texted him when she arrived at the restaurant, but felt something was amiss when he could not reach her at around 5.30pm.
He went to the salon where she was supposed to have an eyelash appointment at 2pm but was told she did not show up.
It was only when he went to the restaurant where Yuki and the suspect met for lunch that he found out about the stabbing.
Sampson and Yuki began dating in March this year and had just done a couple photo shoot the day before the murder.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Sampson reminisced their happy times together and the plans they made for the future.
“I made a pact to take you to Iceland for our honeymoon, to see your favourite Northern Lights. We made a pact to get married, have children, and take care of them together. We planned what kind of wedding photos to take when we officially get married. We even planned to go to our ‘baby’s’ first sports event together this Saturday, and had already chosen what to wear. We also promised not to leave each other behind,” he wrote.
