KOTA KINABALU: An aide to former deputy home minister Datuk Mohd Azis Jamman has lodged a police report against the Facebook page “Berita Jenayah Malaysia” for linking him to a suspected drug kingpin in Sabah.
Azis’s former special officer Jasni Mohammad lodged the report here on Tuesday (Dec 26) following the online post that had gone viral on social media platforms.
“I have made a police report regarding claims made through the Facebook page of ‘Berita Jenayah Malaysia’ which alleged that I have connection with a drug cartel led by a ‘Datuk Seri’ (who has been arrested by police).

“It also claimed that I received various gifts from him. This is slander and a reckless accusation thrown at me, at the same time tarnishing my name, Datuk Mohd Azis Jamman and the name of Parti Warisan as a whole,” he said.
Jasni said he hoped police would investigate the people behind the posting and warned that he could also take legal action against those spreading such unfounded accusations against him and the party.
“I want to clear not only my name, but that of Parti Warisan too,” said Jasni.
