Ruby Lin Regrets Not Spending More Time With Parents After Seeing How Her Mum’s Hair Is White Now

Ruby started tearing as she recalled how her parents still called her “baby” and would express concern for her well-being each time they visited.
She also recounted a particularly poignant moment when she noticed how much her mum, 72, had aged.
While they were in a lift, Ruby casually asked her mum: “Why do you have so much white hair?”
Mama Lin replied: “I’m old, don’t you know?”
This revelation not only stirred in her a sense of regret and guilt, it also prompted her decision to reduce her workload in China and return to Taiwan to be with her parents.
“It’s only after we become parents that we realise how great our mums are. We do a lot of things for our kids, but very often, we don’t realise that our parents do a lot for us too,” she said.
