Pua has gone overboard with comments on Najib’s sentence, says Wan Rosdy

PETALING JAYA: Tony Pua has gone overboard with his remarks on the recent Pardons Board decision on Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, says Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail.

The Pahang Mentri Besar said that Pua is looking for cheap publicity after failing to get the people’s support, adding that the former DAP publicity secretary was rejected by his own party members.

“I urge Pua to apologise and delete all his Facebook posts or face legal action,” said Wan Rosdy in a statement on Sunday (Feb 4).

The former Damansara MP had put up three Facebook posts expressing his dissatisfaction on the jail term and fine reduction handed down to Najib by the Pardons Board.

In a cynical statement he asked for someone to send him to prison in exchange for being paid RM50mil.

Wan Rosdy then said all Umno members – including himself – are sad as the Pardons Board decision on Najib has affected them.

“However we still respect the decision as we expected to see the former Prime Minister being freed with a full pardon, although it did not become a reality,” he said.
