We chuckled last year when Hong Kong actress Carina Lau, 58, was seen stopping her husband Tony Leung from escaping the media scrum after he received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Venice Film Festival.
Recently the actress gave us more to laugh about when she revealed another forced photo moment involving Tony.
Other than talking about her Valentine’s Day dinner plans with Tony this year, Carina recounted to the media about their photo op with football superstar David Beckham when the latter and his football team Inter-Miami were in Hong Kong for a match.
“Actually, He [Tony] was very scared. I pulled him out and he didn’t like it,” said Carina.
In fact, the notoriously shy Tony had asked if they could avoid going out in public to take pictures.
But Carina refused his request and said she was adamant for a photo with Beckham.
Is this 10 percent of the time Tony doesn’t get his way?

What even she did not expect was to be led into the stadium where 40,000 pairs of eyes starrd at them as they walked towards David.
“I was shocked myself and was afraid he would just turn around and leave just like how Messi did not play,” laughed Carina.
In case you didn’t know, Lionel Messi and Beckham courted the fury of Hong Kong football fans that day when he was benched for the entire match.
But we digress.
Looking at the pictures of the couple with Beckham, we can already hear Tony’s internal cries for help.
When asked about her thoughts on the fiasco, Carina said she is a fan of both David and the game.
“He didn’t play and just walked around the sidelines. I wasn’t very disappointed. Watching the game for 90 minutes was enough for me,” she said.
