Jacky Cheung Cancels Concerts Due To Poor Health, Rumours That He’s In ICU Now Turn Out To Be Fake

Has throwing more than a hundred concerts in the past nine months finally taken a toll on Heavenly King Jacky Cheung‘s health?

It was recently announced that three of the 62-year-old Hong Kong star’s 60+ Concert Tour shows in Shanghai have been cancelled due to health reasons.

“Mr Jacky Cheung is unwell and has been advised to recuperate after seeing the doctor,” read a statement from concert organiser, Shanghai DOBE Cultural & Creative Industry Development (Group) Co. LTD.

“Taking into consideration the artiste’s health and the public’s safety, as well as to uphold the quality standards of the performance, we deeply regret to inform everyone that the shows on Mar 8, 9, 10 at the Shanghai Oriental Sports Center have been called off.”

Netizens naturally began speculating about the Heavenly King’s health, with some claiming that he’s suffering from a respiratory tract infection and was sent to the hospital yesterday (Mar 7).

Some even claimed that he was admitted to the ICU in Chung Shan Hospital and will fly back to Hong Kong today.

Thankfully, those rumours turned out to be untrue.

According to reports, a source close to Jacky has dismissed those speculations about the star in ICU as fake news.

A staff from Chung Shan Hospital also told the media that Jacky was not even admitted to their hospital in the first place.

The media also reached out to Jacky’s representative to seek clarification about the rumours but did not receive a response as of press time.
