Jacky Cheung cancels three concerts after falling ill

Cantopop legend Jacky Cheung (pic) had to cancel three concerts during his “Jacky Cheung 60+ Tour Concert” in Shanghai, China, after falling ill, Sin Chew Daily reported.

It said a statement from the organisers on their Weibo account said Cheung was unwell and had been advised by doctors to rest.

“Considering the artiste’s health and public safety, and to ensure the overall high standard of the performance, we regret to inform everyone that the three concerts originally scheduled for March 8, 9, and 10, at the Oriental Sports Centre in Shanghai, had to be cancelled.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused,” said the organisers.

Weibo users left messages wishing Cheung a speedy recovery and emphasising the importance of good health.

Travelling solo can be daunting at times, especially if you’re a woman who ends up walking along dark alleys.

A woman from China, who was travelling in Thailand, shared how she managed to turn the situation around, China Press reported.

According to the Chinese tourist, she felt afraid while walking along the alley heading back to her hotel. The road was quiet and dark, and many stray dogs were wandering about.

The woman said she came up with an idea and bought a pack of sausages from a nearby convenience store and fed the stray dogs.

The dogs then followed her on her way back to the hotel and acted as her “bodyguards”.

Social media users praised the woman for her cleverness and the dogs in Thailand for being well-behaved.
