In recent years, Taiwanese star Nicky Wu, 53, has been subject to age- and fat-shaming online.
Not that he it bothers him. In fact, he has responded to hate comments by taking a jab at himself.
Recently, a photo of Nicky at a dinner gathering with friends last year has been causing buzz online.
More than anything else, the thing that caught the eye of netizens was how he resembles Jackie Chan.
“He’s become Jackie Chan,” said one netizen, while another exclaimed: “Especially the nose!”
Really?!
And then there were also remarks about Nicky’s weight gain and “weird body proportions”.
“His shoulders and chest look strange, is it because his bones are changing shape due to age?” asked one netizen, while another guestimates that Nicky had put on 20kg.
We blame it on the unflattering angle that made the actor look shorter than his 1.73m height.
Nicky looked perfectly normal in another shot with a fan, who is supposedly 1.5m tall.
