Some said she was “throwing herself at him”.
Edison Chen, 43, recently made an appearance at a pop culture themed event, where fans had the opportunity to take pics with him.
The reformed bad boy was persona non grata in the late noughties, no thanks for to his career-killing sex photos scandal.
Edison, who is now married to supermodel Qin Shupei with whom he has a seven-year-old daughter Alaia, has since bounced back and is now more popular than ever.
The hero’s welcome he recieved at the event was a clear indication of that.
One interaction stood out from the rest. A fan, dressed in a black mini dress, was elated to meet Edison in person, and was seen embracing him tightly as they had their photo taken.
Edison’s security immediately stepped in to give the handsy fan a warning. She then dropped one of her hands to give him a half hug.
Edison had on a hapless smile throughout the interaction, and was seen quickly turning around to walk away.

The fan later shared the pics on social media and gushed about meeting Edison.
Netizens, however, did not approve of her behaviour.
“He has a wife and a child. You should watch how you act when you take pictures with him,” criticised one netizen. Others also felt like she wasn’t respecting Edison’s boundaries,
“It’s still acceptable if he’s single, but it’s really not appropriate to do that to a married man,” read another comment.
Another netizen also joked: “It’s no wonder Edison was such a player in his youth. He has people throwing themselves at him like that.”
