M’sian Singer Ezlynn Helped Husband Find A Young 2nd Wife So She Can Focus On Her Career

When Malaysian singer Azline Ariffin aka Ezlynn, 42, married her husband Mohd Hafizam, 47, in 2021, her declaration to find him a co-wife raised many eyebrows.

Well, she has made good on her word.

Wan Mohd Hafizam married his second wife, a 26-year-old doctor, in March last year.

Polygamy is legal in Malaysia.

According to Ezlynn, the search was no easy one.

“After I issued a statement to find a co-wife for my husband, I couldn’t find a [suitable] candidate,” she said.

“He eventually found someone for himself, and I think it’s good because she suits his taste,” she added.

She wanted to find him another spouse so she could focus on her career.

“I am a busy person and going on long trips makes me feel uneasy and restless,” she reasoned.

“At the very least, there is someone else to take care of things and I can focus on my work,” she added.

The ladies were introduced to each other in a “get-to-know session” before the nuptials.

“I had a condition for him and that is not to interfere with my activities on social media because it’s a platform for business,” she said.

Wan Mohd Hafizam initially “rotated” between his wives every three days, but as Ezlynn lives in Kuala Lumpur and his second wife in the state Perlis, meeting up weekly worked better for them.

Ezlynn shared that a lecture by a religious leader made her open to the idea of a polygamous marriage.

“[He] said women can easily enter heaven by being obedient wives. That’s why I made the decision,” she explained, though she admits the arrangement is not for everyone.

“If the wife cannot accept it, don’t do it as it will affect both women and children negatively,” she said.

Ezlynn was previously married to her former manager for almost six years. They divorced in 2017.

Wan Mohd Hafizam is twice divorced and has three kids from his first marriage.
