TVB Actor Karl Ting Called Out For Photoshop Fail; Says He Will Work On His Editing Skills

Remember last year when TVB actor Karl Ting was deemed unrecognisable on Chinese talent search Asia Super Young due to the excessive use of beauty filters during post-production?

Well, it seems Karl is once again under scrutiny for his appearance.

Earlier this week, the 26-year-old star took to his socials to share a few recent photos.

While some praised Karl, who sported a rugged black jacket, for returning to his masculine style, others were more focused on his Photoshop mistake, which stood out like a sore thumb — or should we say finger.

In one photo which showed Karl holding his phone to his ear, the actor’s finger looked unnaturally long and distorted.

He was criticised for going “overboard” and “Photoshopping himself too much”.

And Karl agreed.

In an interview with Hong Kong media HK01, the actor admitted that he needs to learn how to beautify his pics more naturally.

“In this day and age, who doesn’t Photoshop their photos? Even if they don’t ‘fix’ the person in the image, they would at least adjust the colours, there will be some editing no matter what,” he reasoned.

“But this time I really overdid it. I guess I have to pay more attention to how others do it and work on my Photoshop skills,” said Karl.
