How urgent must one be to choose to relieve themselves in public?
A woman in Johor has recently gone viral after she was caught peeing in an open-air public carpark.
She was seen opening both doors on the driver’s side of her car, forming a sort of “enclosed space” between her vehicle and the one parked next to her. She then squatted and did her business.
After that, she looked for tissues in her car, used them to clean herself up, then tossed them on the ground before driving off, leaving the mess behind her.
Unbeknownst to the woman, her actions were captured on a CCTV pointed right in her direction. The minute-long clip was later shared on Facebook.
According to netizens, there were restaurants and shops located just a few steps away from the carpark, so the woman could’ve simply asked to use any of their restrooms.
The owner of the CCTV is 29-year-old shop owner named Mr Tan. Speaking to Malaysian media, Mr Tan said his shop is located right opposite the carpark. When he got out of his car that day, he noticed a puddle of urine as well as used tissues on the ground. The mess, he added, had attracted many houseflies.
Suspecting that the mess was left behind by a person, he immediately checked the footage.
While a handful of netizens were more understanding, saying the woman wasn’t able to control her pee, the majority condemned her “inconsiderate actions”.
They believe that as a grown adult, she could have “held it in” and looked for the nearest toilet instead of doing her business in public.
