A vice-captain of a cheerleading team in Taiwan has taken to social media to call out a man for pointing his camera phone up her skirt during a performance.
29-year-old Ouyang Ru aka Ru Ru is also part of an exotic dance troupe and performs regularly and bars and nightclubs.
“I didn’t know the person [in blue] was secretly photographing my underwear,” she fumed.
“I don’t know what you can take from that angle,” she added before asking everyone to respect performers.
Though most netizens were sympathetic to Ru Ru’s feelings, some weren’t so kind and commented that she should expect such things to happen in her line of work.
However, Ru Ru hit back at the haters calling them out for their insensitivity.
“Being secretly photographed and being photographed during a performance are two different things. It is not natural to be harassed even if I am wearing little clothing,” she said.
She also criticised the trolls, calling them “people with small brains”.
Ru Ru then said she is just looking for evidence on the person who secretly took her photos and is not looking for anyone to seek justice for her.
“Please stop taking such pictures, otherwise I will punch you,” said Ru Ru.
This isn’t the first time Ru Ru has shown her fiery side and once said she will “punish scumbag men” when she meets them.
After Ru Ru’s social media outburst, the management behind the cheerleading team also issued a statement to address a similar matter.
“Recently at a Dreamers home game, some fans took photos of Ouyang Ru from an inappropriate angle while she was cheering from the sidelines. When the team learned of the situation, we immediately called the police,” read the statement.
“We would like to appeal to fans to support the group respectfully. The team will not tolerate any misconduct and reserves the right to ask the person to leave the game and be restricted from entering the Dreamers home ground in the future.
