Loke rubbishes claims in Bose’s book about DAP

SEPANG: DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke has dismissed claims by international correspondent Romen Bose that the party leaders had sought to “rebuild the Chinese population” during the last Pakatan Harapan administration.

“Just one response, rubbish,” he said briefly when asked to comment on the book, Shattered Hopes, written by Bose, who was also said to be the former political consultant to Datuk Seri Najib Razak for six years.

In his book, Bose claimed that the Special Branch monitored several DAP leaders, including party veteran Lim Kit Siang, stating that they were keen to “rebuild the Chinese population.”

Bose also described in his book that the then Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador had often visited prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s office to keep him updated on the activities of Pakatan leaders at the time.
