AirAsia’s First Cabin Crew Retires At 60, Netizens Say He Looks Like He Is Only In His 40s

Being a flight attendant is not easy with its erratic hours, with many flying for only a couple of years.

But for Malaysian carrier Air Asia’s first cabin crew, Nordin Razali, he has, in his own words, “loved every moment spent in the skies”.

With a career spanning 35 years, the 60-year-old chief flight attendant operated his final flight to Kuching.

In a video posted to TikTok, Nordin, who is married and has three daughters and a son, is seen surprised with two cakes and a fruit basket by Air Asia staffers.

The heartwarming clip also featured a voiceover with Nordin giving his final announcement before landing in Kuching, Malaysia.

“35 years have been truly magical,” he said before thanking everyone for trusting the crew and making his career “fulfilling beyond words”.

In a separate Instagram post, Air Asia’s chief executive officer Tony Fernandes highlighted Nordin’s years of service, gifting him two air tickets to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Will such generosity become the norm for future retirements?

Many netizens took to the comments to commend Nordin for his years of service, with some praising his youthful looks.

“60? He looks like he is only in his 40s’!” commented an online user, while another begged Nordin to reveal his anti-aging regimen.
