Handbag believed to belong to Nur Farah Kartini found in river

SHAH ALAM: A handbag, believed to have belonged to Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah was discovered by police divers in Sungai Trolak Kampung Batu, Perak.

Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Kah said the handbag was discovered in the river on Thursday (July 18).

“Yes, the handbag, believed to be that of the victim’s was found,” he said when contacted.

The search location was some 20 minutes from the site of the first search location in a drain at a palm oil plantation in Kampung Sri Keledang, Hulu Selangor.

On Wednesday (July 17), police divers discovered a mobile phone, believed to have belonged to Nur Farah Kartini, in the palm oil plantation’s drain.

Police also believed the location in Kampung Sri Keledang is the prime crime scene and the act was committed by one perpetrator.

It was reported that the victim’s body was found at a palm oil plantation in Kampung Sri Keledang, Hulu Selangor on July 15.

Nur Farah Kartini was reported missing in Tanjung Malim, Perak, on July 11.

She was reported missing after sending a rental car to a customer at Taman Universiti, Tanjung Malim.

A policeman, believed to be her boyfriend, has since been detained and remanded for seven days.

The case is classified under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
