M’sian Celeb Doctor Caught His 2 Helpers Hiding 2 Men In Their Room While His Family Was Around
Some domestic helpers form such close bonds with their employers, they become part of the family. A number of other people, however, are luckless when it comes to finding good help.
Malaysian celebrity doctor, Shazril Shaharuddin, recently took to Instagram to share about an incident that happened with his two helpers.
On the night of Jul 29, Dr Shazril was returning home from a haircut when he saw two men standing across the road from his house. He thought they were passers-by and did not pay them any extra attention.
About 20 minutes later, Dr Shazril was at his gate sending his wife off to work the night shift when he was approached by a neighbour, who claimed he saw two men entering Dr Shazril’s house.
Dr Shazril did not think it was “logical” for someone to enter his house while he and his wife were still around. He was also not well-acquainted with the neighbour, and so he just brushed aside the warning.
However, he recalled the two men from across the road and so he went to ask his helpers, one of whom is from Indonesia, and the other, Philippines, for some answers.
When questioned, the Indonesian helper simply replied: “They have left.”
Dr Shazril then called his wife to tell her about the situation, which he thought was resolved.
She, however, felt uneasy and believed the men might still be in their house.
Dr Shazril then checked the CCTV in the living room, and realised his helpers had moved the camera. They also attempted to block it with a water bottle.
Through the reflection on his television, Dr Shazril saw the helpers bringing the men into his home.
They snuck the men into their room while Dr Shazril and his wife were in their bedroom upstairs.
It was then he realised that the men, like his wife had feared, were still in the house.
His wife, who was still at work, told him to “save their baby”, who slept in the same room as the helpers. Dr Shazril and his wife have two older kids who slept in their own rooms.
Wary about entering the helpers’ room alone as he would be outnumbered, Dr Shazril immediately called the police.
When he eventually entered the room with the police, he saw his baby sleeping in a rocker between the helpers’ beds.
The two men were found shirtless, hiding under blankets on the beds.
However, as the men were invited into the house by the helpers, the police were not able to arrest them.
“They exposed my children to strangers. What if my baby had cried while they were engaged in their ‘project’? Could they have harmed or worse, killed my child?” said Dr Shazril angrily in his video.
Both helpers have since been lectured, and sent back to their respective agencies.
Dr Shazril also advised his followers to be wary of who they invite into their homes.
