Olympics 2024: Congratulations pour in for Zii Jia

PUTRAJAYA: Congratulations have poured in after Lee Zii Jia secured the country’s second bronze medal at the Paris Olympics.

On his official X page, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim congratulated the badminton player.

“Congratulations Lee Zii Jia! Another breathtaking performance that has led to the second bronze medal for the country,” he said.

MCA president Datuk Dr Seri Wee Ka Siong, on his official Facebook page, also joined in on the celebration.

“Congratulations to Lee Zii Jia for bringing home another bronze medal for Malaysia! What a fierce and nail-biting match!” he said.

Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil added that he was proud of Lee’s achievement.

“We are so proud of you,” he wrote on his Facebook page.

World No. 7 Zii Jia came from behind to beat 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games gold medallist Lakshya Sen 13-21, 21-16, 21-11 at Adidas Arena in Port de la Chapelle.
