Ki Club’s 20th anniversary charity campaign raises over RM330,000 for local charities
KUALA LUMPUR: The Healing Reiki Club of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor (Ki Club) raised a total of RM332,195.72 in a charity campaign to help six welfare homes.
“The entire campaign was aimed at assisting six welfare homes with their essential needs, raising an impressive total of RM332,195.72, thanks to the generous contributions of their supporters and the community,” it said in a statement.
It added that the campaign began with a charity carnival at Pusat Komuniti Bukit Damansara on May 5, and said that it ran for an entire month.
“The funds have been distributed among six deserving organisations, each dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of those they serve,” said the Ki Club.
On June 28, Ki Club founder L. C Wong and members visited En Yuan Old Folk Home in Petaling Jaya before travelling to Ipoh and Manjung to personally hand over the cheques and donations to the homes there.
“This gesture not only provided financial support but also demonstrated Ki Club’s ongoing commitment to fostering a spirit of compassion and community,” said the club.
It said that it expresses heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in and supported its campaign, and said the generosity of its supporters and members had made this remarkable achievement possible.
“We look forward to continuing their journey of giving and compassion together,” it added.
Expressing her gratitude, Wong said they are deeply moved by the overwhelming support.
“Your contributions have made a significant difference in the lives of many. Together, we can continue to spread love, care, and hope to those in need,” she said.
