HK stars Owen Cheung, Brian Tse, Jazz Lam and more enjoy bak kut teh in KL

TVB actor Owen Cheung was recently spotted enjoying a meal of bak kut teh at a restaurant in Jalan Imbi, Kuala Lumpur.

Joining him were Hong Kong stars Brian Tse, Penny Chan and Jazz Lam, as well as Taiwanese actor Lee Hsin-chiao, better known as King Kong.

On Monday (Aug 12), the restaurant’s owner shared several photos with the celebrities on the Chinese social media platform Xiaohongshu.

The post was captioned: “Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming (these) stars to our store. So honoured to serve you with our bak kut teh. Hope you enjoyed the meal today.”

In the comments section, many netizens praised Cheung, 37, for his good looks. One fan even mentioned their luck at catching a glimpse of the celebrities in person.

Malaysia has long been a hotspot for Hong Kong celebrities for holidays, real estate investment and film projects.

In recent months, we have seen major stars like Simon Yam, Nicholas Tse, Philip Keung, Jackson Wang, Anita Yuen and many more coming to the country for work and leisure.

Earlier in January, Cheung said he wouldn’t mind living in Malaysia as he loved the environment and food here.

He also expressed interest in buying a property here, saying: “It’s very comfortable, especially the houses in remote areas.
