Female Soldiers Told To Stop Harrassing Taiwanese Hearthrob Greg Hsu In The Army

It has been almost a week since Taiwanese heartthrob Greg Hsu enlisted in the military.

However, the 33-year-old recruit is still making news even when out of the limelight.

According to reports, female soldiers have been finding ways and means to get close to him since news of his enlistment was leaked by a soldier who was being discharged on the same day.

Some have even cooked up excuses to ‘drop by’ Greg’s unit simply to catch a glimpse of him.

At this point, we think the military sounds like a tad like secondary school.

The unit’s leading officer has since stepped in to put a stop to the disruptive behaviour and instructed his female colleagues not to turn up to his offices with no official reason.

He also added that further complaints will result in disciplinary action.

Before enlisting, it was reported that Greg and his agent from Ichi Entertainment had requested for privacy and said the actor hopes to keep a low profile as he quietly completes his military service.

Fat chance, if you ask us.

Netizens also found the situation hilarious with many saying the presence of the “Nation’s Boyfriend” is too attractive for anyone to resist.

Some fans complained that they found the warning sexist, with one asking, “So it’s acceptable if male colleagues go see him?”

“Men could be interested in seeing Greg too. Everyone should be given the same instructions,” retorted a netizen.

Greg will undergo basic training for 21 days in Taichung before moving on to serve in a substitute military service.

In Taiwan, recruits posted to this unit work in government agencies that include firefighting, and law enforcement.

According to his agency, Greg is set to return to showbiz next year.

For now, you can catch Greg on Netflix where he reprises the role of Wu Minghan from the 2023 hit film Marry My Dead Body in its spinoff, GG Precinct.
