Wu Chun Queues 7hrs With Daughter, 13, To See Taylor Swift’s London Concert
Bruneian heartthrob and former member of Taiwanese boyband Fahrenheit, Wu Chun, 44, got a taste of what his fans went through to see him in the flesh.
On August 30, Wu Chun, who’s known to be a doting dad, shared on Weibo that his daughter Nei Nei, 13, had achieved excellent grades last semester.
As a reward, he took her to catch Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour in London and even camped out with her at the entrance of Wembley Stadium.
In his video, Wu Chun said that they had tickets for the standing pen, which meant it was first-come, first-served when it came to how close you are to the stage. It’s why Nei Nei insisted they get to the venue early to secure the best spot at the concert.
And that meant getting up at 7am and waiting in line for seven hours.
To cope wit
h the long wait, Wu Chun brought bags of necessities and even camping chairs.
While walking to the venue, he quipped: “The girls keep saying ‘We have to be the first.’ I was never like this when I chased idols. Now I understand what my fans went through.”
He was also sent to buy merch and lunch for Nei Nei and her friend.
Despite his grouses, it was evident Wu Chun was swept up in the Taylor mania.
Dressed in a Taylor Swift tee and his wrists armed with bracelets, Wu Chun was seen exchanging bracelets with other concertgoers and rocking out at the concert.
Although the day was tiring, Wu Chun said seeing his daughter’s happy face made it all worthwhile.
His fatherly ways not only garnered praise from netizens but also made it to Weibo’s hot search list.
One netizen wrote: “When I was young, I wanted to be his girlfriend. Now, I want to be his daughter”. Another said: “The idol has become an assistant and is even responsible for buying merchandise, so funny.”
A third teased: “Looks like a female celebrity with her male assistant!”
Following the comment, Wu Chun changed his profile on his Weibo bio to “assistant / bodyguard”.
