QuickCheck: Did a speeding van cause an accident in Gombak?

Recently, a viral video of a dash camera made its rounds on social media. It shows a white van speeding on an expressway in Gombak before clipping a motorcycle, causing an accident, and driving away. Is the video real?

In a statement, Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir said that police were aware of the video on Aug 31.
He confirmed that the recklessly driven van crashed into a motorcycle at KM14.7 of the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) in Gombak.
“The accident occurred at 11.50am on Aug 30. The victim is a local female, around 21 years old,” he said in the statement.
He said that the victim suffered injuries to her right hand, leg, shoulder, chin and chest. She was treated at a clinic.
“Efforts to trace the van’s driver are still ongoing. The case is being investigated under Section 42 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
