Teaches cheats death after car crashes into elephant in Johor
MERSING: A teacher escaped death after her car crashed into an elephant at Kilometre 6 Jalan Nitar-Mersing here Monday, says Mersing Deputy OCPD DSP Sharif Shai Sharif Mondoi.
He added that investigations revealed that the woman, 30, was driving an MPV from Endau to Kahang, Kluang when she hit the elephant that was in her path.
“The driver, who was alone, did not sustain serious injuries and it seemed that she remained in her vehicle till the elephant moved off,” he said, adding that the elephant’s condition could not be ascertained as it left the location.
The case is being investigated under Rule 10 of the Road Traffic Rules 1959. – Bernama
