Submit medical reports by Nov 11 or be named on Parliament website, MPs told

KUALA LUMPUR: Members of Parliament have been reminded that they have 12 days left to submit their health status.

Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul (pic) reminded MPs that they must undergo mandatory health screenings and submit their medical reports by Nov 11.

“I informed them that it is mandatory … on July 17 and Oct 14. There are still MPs who have not completed the screening.

“If you don’t (submit your medical reports by the deadline), your names will be displayed on the Parliament website,” he said while presiding over the Budget 2025 debate session here on Tuesday (Oct 29).

Johari said parliamentarians could refer to the Parliament health clinic for the compulsory health screening.

MPs were previously told they are allowed to undergo health screenings at the clinic or any private health facility.

Last year, Johari said he had seen at least 11 MPs collapse during his 15 years in the august House.
