Wisma Putra seeks to verify MyKad found in Ukraine warzone
PETALING JAYA: Wisma Putra has yet to confirm a report stating a MyKad and Malaysian driving licence were found in Levadne, Zaporizhia.
In a message to the media on Tuesday (Oct 29), Wisma Putra stated that it is aware of the article regarding the discovery.
“As of now, we have yet to verify the information. It has been forwarded to the authorities for verification,” it said.
Wisma Putra added that while Malaysian consulates are ready to assist Malaysians in need, individuals must also take necessary steps to ensure their safety.
The area has reportedly been recently taken over by the Russian military as part of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
