China extends visa-free stay for Malaysians to 30 days starting Nov 30
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysians entering China from Nov 30 will be able to enjoy visa-free stays from 15 days currently to 30 days.
In a statement posted on the official China Embassy Facebook page on Friday (Nov 22), it stated that the move would start from midnight on Nov 30 until midnight Dec 31, 2025.
“China is to both widen the scope and extend the stay duration of the Malaysian citizens who fall into the listed categories of China’s visa waiver pilot policy to Malaysia, which is effective from midnight on Nov 30, 2024 to midnight on December 31, 2025(Beijing time).
“Ordinary passport holders of Malaysian citizenship who come to China to do business, sightseeing, visit relatives or friends, make transits, attend exchange programs, can enter China visa-free and stay in the country for no more than 30 days.

“Those who do not fall into the above-listed categories still need to obtain a visa before going to China,” it said.
On May 31 this year, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi had said that China had agreed to extend visa exemption for Malaysian tourists from 15 to 30 days.
He announced this matter during the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China in Beijing.
