Chef Anh Sung Jae turned into a fanboy when Fat Gor made a surprise visit to his restaurant.

South Korean chef Ahn Sung Jae, one of the judges of Netflix reality cooking competition Culinary Class Wars, has been thrust into the spotlight ever since the show became an international hit.

His restaurant in Hong Kong, Mosu, has become so popular that reservations are fully booked until next year.

Recently, movie legend Chow Yun Fat made a surprise visit to the restaurant with film mogul Peter Lam for a meal and Sung Jae turned into a fanboy when he saw the star.

Sharing snaps with Fat Gor on Instagram, the Michelin three-star chef revealed that the actor has been his idol for years and has a profound influence on his culinary journey.

“The reason I opened a restaurant in Hong Kong is because of you. I’ve watched your movies since I was a child!” he said to Fat Gor in the video.

Fat Gor was pleasantly surprised and repeatedly thanked Sung Jae.

According to reports, Sung Jae hosted the guests to a four-hands dinner and there were lots of selfies to go around. Well, we wouldn’t expect anything less from the king of selfies.

Earlier this week, Netflix announced that the applications are now open for the second season of Culinary Class Wars and that Sung Jae and celebrity restaurateur Paik Jong Won will return as judges and hosts of the cooking show.
