Man killed in collision with motorbike ridden by 12-year-old

JOHOR BARU: A man has been killed after the motorcycle he was on collided with another ridden by a 12-year-old boy in Kampung Sri Aman here.

Johor Baru North OCPD Asst Comm Balveer Singh said police received a report at 9.45am on Monday (March 31).

“The 65-year-old man was exiting a junction on his way home when he was hit by another motorcycle on the main road.

“The other motorcycle, ridden by a 12-year-old, crashed into the right of the victim’s motorcycle,” he said in a statement.

ACP Balveer said the man suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead while receiving treatment at Sultan Ismail Hospital here.

“The boy had some bruising on his left knee,” he said, adding that the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
