State police chiefs moving to Bukit Aman in high-level reshuffle
PETALING JAYA: Four state police chiefs will be moved to Bukit Aman, with three taking over as department directors.
Police secretary Datuk Kamaruzaman Abdullah announced the high-level reshuffle in a statement on Friday (June 20).
Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan will be the new Narcotics Crime Investigation Department director, while Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa will be the new Commercial Crime Investigation Department director.
Penang police chief Comm Datuk Hamzah Ahmad will now lead Bukit Aman’s Integrity and Standards Compliance Department as its director.
Kedah police chief Comm Datuk Fisol Salleh will be the new Internal Security and Public Order Department deputy director (movement/operations).
Logistics and Technology Department deputy director (technical/operations) Deputy Comm Gilberd Philip Layang will be promoted to its director, with the rank of Commissioner.
All transfers and promotions will take effect on July 21, the statement added.
