Chinese Influencer Abuses Wife With Cognitive Disability On Live Stream; Allegedly Invited Mistress To Live With Him & Wife

Recently, a Chinese influencer from Gansu, known as Zhe Yu, shocked the Internet when he brazenly abused his Tibetan wife, Zhuoma, during a live stream.

The heartless man apparently hit Zhuoma, who’s said to have a cognitive disability, repeatedly until her eyes bled.

In order to get more views, Zhe Ye then forcefully stuffed unidentified substances into Zhuoma’s mouth, even though the latter obviously resisted.

Throughout the stream, he also constantly exclaimed: “It’s a pity to not hit her!” and said that he wanted to “hit her to [his] heart’s content”.

He even had the audacity to urge his followers to learn from him. “Men should find wives who are like this. They won’t run away even after you hit or yell at them,” he said.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, another lady was seen sitting next to the couple during the live stream. Zhuoma referred to her as her husband’s “other lover”, sparking speculations that they’re living under the same roof as Zhe Yu’s mistress.

While Zhuoma was assaulted by Zhe Yu, the mysterious woman in question calmly exited the room.

According to reports, Zhuoma has faced serious difficulties after marrying far from home and moving to Gansu. She struggles with language barriers and lives in isolation without support.

Even after giving birth to Zhe Yu’s child, Zhuoma was forced to do heavy farm labour in the freezing winter, including hand-washing the entire family’s clothes, feeding cattle, and herding horses.

She has suffered abuse for a long time, with bruises and bloodstains frequently visible on her face.

Zhuoma, however, is unable to seek help or call the police on her own due to her cognitive condition and language barrier.

This incident has triggered widespread outrage online and netizens are now demanding the platform to immediately ban Zhe Yu’s account.

People are also calling on law enforcement agencies to severely punish the abuser.

Legal experts note that the case involves cross-regional jurisdiction as Zhuoma is officially registered under the Ngawa Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan, though she’s living in Gansu.

They also added that cooperation between police and women’s organisations in both regions is required to properly handle the case.
