Politician Kenneth Fok, Grandson Of One Of HK’s Richest Men, Spotted Flying Economy Class

It’d be an understatement to say that businessman and politician Kenneth Fok, 46, is well-off. He is the eldest grandson of late tycoon Henry Fok, who was a successful entrepreneur and politician, and amongst Hong Kong’s wealthiest.
Kenneth, who is a member of the Legislative Council for the Sports, Performing Arts, Culture and Publication Functional Constituency, was in Xinjiang earlier this month for work and flew back to HK on Aug 8.
But one netizen who spotted Kennth onboard was surprised they were on the same five-hour flight as Kenneth… and in Economy Class, too.
The Fok family’s net worth amounts to billions — Kenneth could buy a private jet if he wished. But here he was in Economy.
The netizen later shared a clip of Kenneth chatting with his seatmate, and obviously, people were equally shocked to see him in the Economy Class cabin.
“You just didn’t get the chance to see him in his private jet,” quipped one commenter. Others wondered if Kenneth was “doing it for show”.
Still, there were a handful who praised Kenneth for being humble, with some guessing he was flying Economy as he was travelling for work, not leisure.
That might very well be the case. According to reports, Kenneth was travelling with a team of 55. It was presumed that the majority of that Economy cabin was occupied by his staff, and the person who spotted him simply happened to get a spare seat among them.
The OP later approached Kenneth for a photo, and though the latter was said to have appeared surprised at a random stranger’s appearance, he removed his earphones and agreed to the pic.
Guess that could be counted as a rare sighting?
