Who says you can’t throw a party for someone just because they are not physically there?
Earlier this week, a Malaysian netizen, Nanami, and what seemed like more than a hundred fans gathered together to throw a birthday bash for their idol, South Korean superstar G-Dragon.
The King Of K-pop turned 37 on Monday, Aug 18.
From the video she shared on Instagram, all the fans, who packed a cafe in Kuala Lumpur for the festivities, were crowding around a photo wall filled with pics of the star.
They were also standing in front of a small blue cake while singing the birthday song in Korean.
“My mum asked me: ‘So you guys planned all these activities, is GD coming to the celebration?,” Nanami quipped in her caption.
“HAHAHA no, GD is not in the house,” she clarified in her next line.
Despite that, Nanami stated that they still had “an amazing time at the event”, getting to meet up with the other fans — collectively know as FAMs — and “working together to make this birthday cafe happen”.
“Another core memory of 2025, made,” she gushed.
