New Rumours Claim Yu Menglong Was Mutilated Before He Died; Over 680K People Sign Petition Seeking Justice For The Chinese Actor

Since Chinese actor Yu Menglong’s death on September 11 this year, speculation about the circumstances of his passing has spiralled beyond control, with each new rumour more sensational than the last.

As of Tuesday (November 18), more than 680,000 people have signed a petition, demanding justice for The Moon Brightens For You actor, urging authorities to open a thorough, independent, and transparent investigation into what really happened.

Chinese police, however, remain firm on their stance that Menglong died from an accidental fall due to alcohol consumption, with no signs of criminal involvement.

This comes after the latest shocking claim from a political commentator on YouTube alleging that Menglong’s genitals were mutilated and later consumed by a director.

While no names were officially mentioned, the commentator pointed out that filmmaker Du Qiang was singled out as missing.

Netizens speculate that Du Qiang may have fled to Taiwan and assumed a fake identity to evade authorities.

Rumours about how Yu Menglong died continue to dominate the headlines, from alleged audio clips capturing Menglong’s cries in Chinese actress Tian Hairong’s video, to claims about his mother’s supposed death, and a leaked autopsy report suggesting multiple injuries before he died.

Authorities have since arrested three people who have been accused of spreading rumours.
