Etta Ng’s Livestream Remark Sparks Speculation Of Reconciliation With Estranged Father Jackie Chan

For the longest time, Jackie Chan has been known to be estranged from Etta Ng, his daughter who was born out of wedlock to his former mistress, ex-Hong Kong actress Elaine Ng.

But have things quietly improved between father and daughter?

During a recent livestream, the 26-year-old Etta was once again asked about her relationship with her father.

Though she did not directly confirm if they had reconciled, Etta unusually revealed: “He’s been watching the posters I’ve been making lately.”

The remark was naturally interpreted by netizens as a sign that their relationship may be gradually thawing.

Previously, Hong Kong media also reported that Jackie had privately provided financial assistance to his daughter through intermediaries.

On top of that, he allegedly supported her design work, including entrusting her with film promotional projects under standard market contracts and rates.

In response, Etta modestly said during the livestream that her current income is sufficient to cover her living expenses.

After coming out in 2018, Etta married her Canadian partner, Andi Autumn, who is 12 years older than her, and the couple later moved overseas.

However, she was once photographed lining up to receive free food and even searching for items at recycling stations, leading to speculation about her financial situation.

Etta has since been trying to build an independent career through her own efforts in recent years, including working as an assistant at a design company and selling hand-drawn T-shirts at street stalls in Hong Kong.
