Malaysia in good position to weather Middle East crisis, finance minister says
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia is in a good economic position and has the capacity to absorb some of the changes stemming from the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Aziz said on Monday.
Domestic oil and gas supplies were “in good shape” with no market disruptions expected, Amir Hamzah told reporters, adding that the government had the capacity to keep the subsidised price of RON95 transport fuel at RM1.99 per litre for at least two months. – Reuters
