New pics of Korean heartthrob Lee Min Ho, 36, at a beauty expo in Bangkok last week has netizens doing a double take.
Min Ho is the ambassador for Merz Aesthetics’ Ultherapy treatment, which promises to lift and tighten the skin.
While he looked youthful and glowy, netizens were also surprised at the actor’s weight gain.
One of the comments described Min Ho’s chin as having “merged with his neck”.
Ouch.
“This can’t be him. I don’t believe it,” commented one fan, while another said: “What happened? He used to be incredibly handsome.”
There were those who came to Min Ho’s defense, saying it was probably an unflattering camera angle and all that matters is he is healthy and happy.
“I am sure he’ll lose weight once he starts a new project,” assured one netizen.
Best known for his role in 2009 hit drama Boys Over Flower, Min Ho revealed previously that he has liver problems which causes him to suffer from water retention when he is fatigued or doesn’t get enough rest.
While he controls his diet and works out when he takes on new acting projects, he doesn’t restrict himself when he isn’t filming.
