Ex-IGP Acryl Sani named PUNB chairman

KUALA LUMPUR: Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Bhd (PUNB) announced the appointment of former inspector-general of police Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani (pic) as its chairman with effect from Friday (Sept 1) to replace Datuk Ahmad Nazlan Idris, who resigned from the position on Dec 20 last year.

PUNB chief executive officer Izwan Zainuddin said members of the board of directors, management and employees congratulated Acryl Sani on the appointment and welcomed his presence at PUNB.

Currently, Acryl Sani is also independent non-executive director and deputy chairman of Dagang NeXchange Bhd.

Acryl Sani, who served as the nation’s 13th chief of police from May 4, 2021 to June 22 this year, held various positions including director of Internal Security and Public Order Department (2018-2020), director of the Commercial Crime Investigation Department (2017), Perak police chief (2013) and Sarawak police commissioner (2011-2013).

He holds a Master of Science (Management) from Universiti Utara Malaysia and a Bachelor (Hons) in Civil Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
