Japanese Hostess Who Stabbed Gigolo Boyfriend In 2019 Finishes Jail Sentence & Is Now An Influencer
Some of you here may remember Yuka Takaoka, the Japanese hostess known for stabbing her 20-year-old gigolo boyfriend Phoenix Luna with a kitchen knife in their apartment in Shinjuku Tokyo in 2019.
The 21-year-old hostess, who was sentenced to three years and six months of jail time in Dec that year, was recently released.
Yuka, who had captured the Internet’s attention for her cute looks in 2019, is now an influencer and is active on TikTok, YouTube and Instagram, where she posts about cosplaying and gaming.
Even though Yuka’s follower count is only in the thousands, fans would leave comments on every post to congratulate her for getting out of jail.
Netizens have also complimented her for being adorable, with some also criticising Phoenix for not being good enough for her.
Yuka found pictures of Phoenix serving another woman at the night club, and she misinterpreted it as her boyfriend cheating on her.
The same night, Yuka waited till approximately 3.50am when Phoenix was sound asleep. She grabbed the sharpest knife in the kitchen, sat on top of him on the bed and plunged the knife into his stomach.
The attack woke Phoenix up, and he managed to push Yuka away and escape from the apartment. He then took the lift down to the building’s entrance where he collapsed.
When the police arrived at the scene, Yuka, who was covered in blood, was seen calmly smoking outside the building.
Yuka pleaded guilty to attempted murder. She claimed she only did what she did because she loved Phoenix too much. She also said that she was intending to commit suicide after killing Phoenix.
She was sentenced to three years and six months of jail time after Phoenix, who survived the attack, appeared in court to plead for leniency.
Interestingly, not only was Yuka not condemned by the public, the incident also helped her gain an online following.
She was referred to as a “real life yandere”, a Japanese anime term used to describe a girl who suddenly becomes aggressive, deranged, and homicidal towards a lover.
