Cops arrest 28 in anti-vice raids in Kuala Lumpur

KUALA LUMPUR: Anti-vice raids in the city led to 28 arrests, says Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Noor Dellhan Yahaya.

He said that two premises were raided in the early hours of Sunday (Dec 17) morning along Jalan Ampang and Jalan Sultan Ismail.

“A total of 28 people were arrested; two local men, a male foreigner and 25 foreign women. All were aged between 22 and 37 years old,” added Comm Noor Dellhan.

He said that the two local men were found to be the premises caretakers, whereas the women are suspected to have been working as GROs.

Several items were also seized, including a handphone, two loudspeakers and two business receipts.

“The two locals have been remanded for four days until Dec 20, whereas the 26 foreigners have been remanded for 14 days under Section 51 (5) (b) of the Immigration Act 1959/63 to assist investigations,” he said.
