Looks like three-time Best Actress winner Charmaine Sheh is not just the “Queen of TVB”, but also “Queen of Collecting Rent”.
The Hong Kong star has been investing in real estate for around two decades and is said to own more than five properties, worth a total of HK$100mil (S$17.2mil).
The 48-year-old recently added another property to her portfolio: a three-bedroom unit at luxury condo Harbour Glory in North Point.
According to reports, the 1,034 sq ft apartment was previously bought by a member of Charmaine’s family for HK$27.9mil (S$4.8mil) in 2017.
It was transferred to Charmaine’s name for HK$30mil (S$5.15mil).
Charmaine also owns a detached house in Nan Shan Village in Sai Kung, which she purchased for around HK$35mil (S$6mil) in 2015. The value of the property is said to have doubled.
She reportedly kept one unit for herself, while the other was a gift to her mum.
Her other properties include apartments in Hong Hum, Mantin Heights in Ho Man Tin, The Altitude in the upscale Happy Valley, which she bought for HK$7.8mil (S$1.35mil), HK$14.1mil (S$2.4mil), and HK$39.9mil (S$6.8mil) respectively.
With the exception of the Sai Kung house, her other properties, which are located in prime districts, are rented out.
According to real estate insiders, an apartment in Happy Valley alone can command a monthly rent of HK$80K to HK$90K, which is around S$13.7K to S$15.4K.
